The Table Trilogy
What connections open up when we blur the lines? Between audience and performer, between dark theatre and stage, between real life and the imaginary? The Table Trilogy is an umbrella title for three projects that all place the audience at communal folding tables while immersive, theatrical narratives unfold around them. Whether playing Bingo with strangers, crafting with Kyle’s Mom, or digesting queer history with the elder sitting next to you, these pieces center authentic, gently participatory, community-building. In content, each piece highlights intergenerational, autobiographical storysharing by performers that are often untrained, everyday citizens. By engaging audience members in these unconventional experiences, this new chapter of my work brings immediacy and a deeper level of engagement with ideas that come from real people sharing their real stories.
See below to learn more about each of these three exciting projects.
Me Love BINGO!
Available for tour
Begun in my living room in 2014, Me Love BINGO! is an ongoing theatrical project that uses the game of Bingo as both a show framework and narrative parallel to the game of life. It’s a reality-blurring night of theatre disguised as Bingo. Multiple themes available for touring with the ability to incorporate local community members and flex to the needs of your festival/venue.

IN PROGRESS: PIE EATERS CLUB
In development
This theatrical group meeting features a cast of queer senior citizens sharing autobiographical stories. Continuing the oral tradition of queer history sharing, this celebratory, vulnerable work collaborates with a new group of queer elders in each touring locale.
PIE EATERS CLUB is made possible through the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
